Task V Read the text and answer the questions. David lost his traveler’s check. He went to the traveler’s check office and they told him that he had to call New York before they could do anything. They let him use their phone- it was a toll-free number. The clerk asked him how much he had lost and what the check numbers were. Luckily, he had them written down. Then the clerk wanted to know where he bought the check and if he had any ID. David gave him his passport number. The clerk gave David “a file number” and told him where the nearest refund office was. David told the clerk he had already been there and the clerk spoke to the agent.
